Herbalife IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia is famous for the enthusiastic atmosphere it brings - thousands of spectators and locals will line the route to cheer the athletes. The start and finish areas, along with the transition zone, are located in the heart of Gdynia's tourist center, with the finish line supposed to be located at the city beach for the first time in 2016. Athletes swim in the Gdańsk Bay and the run course goes through the sea boulevards and the busiest streets of Gdynia - Swietojanska Str. In 2016, the bike stage will be changed for a hilly, one-loop course leading through the beautiful Kashubia region.

In 2016, the race was the third fastest selling IRONMAN 70.3 event in Europe.
There will be 35 qualifying slots available for the 2017 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships.
